Who we are
Warranty++ ("we") runs the website warrantyplusplus.com and the app at app.warrantyplusplus.com. Contact: [email protected].
What we collect
- Account data: your email, your name, and a password hash. We never store your password in clear text.
- Appliance data: model, production and serial numbers, purchase and delivery dates, and the receipt you upload.
- Registration data: what we sent to the maker in your name, the confirmation of the maker, and the time of each step.
- Technical data: server logs with the time and the IP address of requests, for security and to fix errors.
Why we use it
- To run your account and to show you your appliances and deadlines.
- To register your appliance with the maker in your name, on your instruction.
- To send you the emails you asked for: verification codes, deadline reminders and the registration result.
- To keep the service secure and to fix errors.
Who gets your data
The maker of your appliance, when you ask us to register it. The maker handles your data under its own privacy notice, which we link to before you confirm. Our hosting and email providers process data for us under contract. We do not sell your data.
How long we keep it
Account and appliance data: while your account exists. Receipts and registration confirmations: while your account exists, because makers ask for them on a claim. Server logs: up to 90 days. You can delete your account and its data at any time by writing to [email protected].
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, correct it, or delete it. Write to [email protected]. If you are in the UK or the EU you can also complain to your data protection authority.
